The Thing About Jams (FAQs)
Do I need to refrigerate your jams and jellies?
Yes. We recommend refrigerating our jams and jellies after opening. For maximum freshness and flavor, we do not recommend using opened products if they have been without refrigeration for more than 48 hours.
What is the nutritional facts for jams?
The nutritional labels on our jars are for informational purposes only. Our jams are all made with its respective fresh fruit, natural fruit pectin, and the lowest amount of sugar.
How long can I store a jar of your product?
It is the nature of packaged food products to experience some slight color and degradation during extended storage. Products should be stored in cool temperatures (50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit (F) is preferable, but it should not exceed 75 degrees F for extended periods) and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. However, in order to obtain maximum color and flavor of our products, we do recommend consuming them within one year of the purchase date.
What is the difference between jelly, jam and preserves?
Jelly is made from fruit juice. Jelly is clear and firm enough to hold its shape when turned out of its container.
Jam is made from a blend of crushed pieces of fruit and fruit puree.
Preserves contain whole or large pieces of fruit, making them thicker and more fruit-filled than jams or jellies. I personally believe our jams are more like this.
